As a homeowner in Blackpool, it's essential to understand the limitations and potential risks associated with walking on your tile roof. At CM Roofing Blackpool & UPVC, we're often asked if it's safe to walk on a tile roof, and our answer is a resounding "it depends."

Tile roofs are a popular choice for many homeowners in Blackpool due to their durability, energy efficiency, and aesthetic appeal. However, they can be fragile and prone to damage if not handled carefully. The type of tile used, the roof's pitch, and the individual's weight and balance all play a significant role in determining whether it's safe to walk on a tile roof.

Walking on a tile roof can cause damage to the tiles, the underlying structure, and even lead to personal injury. The tiles can crack or break underfoot, especially if they're old, worn, or damaged. Additionally, the roof's structure can be compromised if excessive weight is applied, leading to costly repairs or even collapse.

While we generally advise against walking on a tile roof, there are situations where it's necessary. For example, during routine cleaning or maintenance, our experienced roofers may need to access the roof to inspect and clean the tiles, gutters, and downspouts. In these cases, we take every precaution to ensure our safety and the integrity of the roof.

At CM Roofing Blackpool & UPVC, we offer a comprehensive tile roofing service that includes:
